Corporate Counsel

Job Description:
This is a role in the European legal team with responsibility for supporting our commercial and operations teams. The purpose of the role is to provide support on commercial and operational legal matters as it relates to business in Europe.
Job Function:

• Drafting and agreeing on commercial contracts such as terms of service, ISO Agreements, corporate and partner agreements.
• Drafting and agreeing on NDAs.
• Support the marketing team with customer communications.
• Obtaining and coordinating advice from external law firms as required.
• Advising operations department on legal issues arising from various operational processes including, AML/KYC /Insolvency/general customer contract queries.
• Engage with senior management and professional staff in multiple markets across the EU and North America.
• System support to the Legal team (maintenance of internal systems, logs, reports etc).

The Candidate:
To be considered for this exciting in-house role, candidates must be able to demonstrate solid track record, and excellent technical and negotiation skills. Some experience of working with one or more of the following areas: payment sector, financial services, software/fintech, commercial contracts and e-commerce.

Qualifications required:

• Qualified solicitor in England and Wales with strong commercial contracts experience.
• Fluency in spoken and written English. Second European language also desirable.
