Aman Sood - Recruitment Consultant

What is your background?

I was born and raised in North East London, with my three older siblings. I completed secondary school and Sixth Form and moved out of the area to study English Literature at Kingston University. Following this, I moved back home to start working. This started with charity work for “Save the Children” and then working with a company that provided education to adults. Soon after, I took my first role in recruitment and have been working in the recruitment world for the past five years.

Why did you choose Ntrinsic?

I chose Ntrinsic because I felt that this was a great time to join a team that have big plans for the future and believe in what they are doing. In addition, it seemed like the right environment to work in where I would be supported but also be allowed to work to my strengths.

Why have you made a career industry change?

Having worked in recruitment for the last five years, I have accumulated a range of skills and experiences and felt it was the right time to take that experience into a new market and see what can be achieved.

What’s your favourite film?

I am a big fan of the “Back to the Future” trilogy. I enjoy the concept of time-travel and always end up watching these at least once a year.

How do you pass time outside of work?

I keep quite an active lifestyle so will usually try to go the gym after work or will be doing a variety of activities with friends, including Football, Golf and Bowling.

You have two celebrities to invite for dinner – who would they be?

I would invite Jurgen Klopp as my first guest. I am a big Liverpool supporter so to have the opportunity to meet the manager would be great, and he is also known to enjoy a beer! My second guest would be Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson. I was a big WWE fan as a child and The Rock was my favourite at the time.

What’s the best country you have ever visited? Would you go back?

I have travelled to Czech Republic (Prague) on multiple occasions and would happily go back again. It is a lovely place to visit, especially during the summer.

Describe yourself in four words?

Light-hearted, honest, open-minded and loyal.
